Storing flour

I plan to store my flour in the freezer since I live in Florida. What type of container should I use that’s freezer safe.

I think whatever container fits your space should be fine. Some plastics get brittle at freezing temps, so expect them to shatter if you drop them. Since you’re not freezing water, which expands and then bursts containers, I think your options are wide open.

I store lots of stuff in Cambro plastic containers, they work well in the freezer, don’t get brittle as Melissa mentioned. 5-lbs of flour fit in a 4qt Cambro container. I get them in lots of different sizes at the Costco Business Center stores, they are not available in the regular Costco warehouse stores. Personally, I would opt for two 2qt Cambro containers to freezer store 5-lbs of flour. You can also get them here:
