Storage of rye berries with high moisture content

I have about 25lbs of organic rye berries and I just discovered from trying to mill them that they have quite a bit of moisture.
My question is, store them as is? Or dry them first and then store?
I am using airtight sealed storage buckets. Wheat is doing fine, but it has lower moisture percentage. Dry or store as is and dry when needed?
Thanks

I would think that if the moisture content is high, the chance of mold is high. I think the two basic cornerstones of storing grains is cool and dry.

Thank you. then will have to dry it . Not fun with 25lbs but worse if it spoils
