Sourdough English scones

These worked really well and were very tasty. No need to throw out excess sourdough starter!

Can I have the recipe for these scones please?

Hi there. I found some good recipes on the King Arthur website, in particular the one for caramelised onion scones. I tweaked it to substitute coconut oil for butter and used one tablespoon of sourdough starter along with egg and milk to make a soft dough. I found that when rested before baking the sourdough starter made them grow. They baked for 20 minutes at 200deg C. I’ve since made another batch with apple and raisins and cinnamon.

I could not find this recipe on the King Artur site by asking typing in " caramelized onion scones" or “Sourdough English scones”??? Is it actually called something else?

They are called caramelised onion sourdough biscuits, sorry, forgot that in US scones are called biscuits. Confusing. You should find them there though.
