I would be interested in trying this, but it would be helpful to know the source of the calcium (animal or plant source), since I am vegan. Would anyone here know?
Jennie is seems commercially most calcium hydroxide is produced with lime. Calcium hydroxide is produced commercially by treating lime with water : CaO + H2O → Ca(OH) In the laboratory it can be prepared by mixing aqueous solutions of calcium chloride and sodium hydroxide.
