Oxygen absorbers

I bought a bucket of Kamut grain last year. Should I have put an oxygen absorber in the bucket or is that necessary? It is in a cool area.
I read somewhere and of course I don’t know where that you do not want to put oxygen absorber into plastic buckets because they can attract moisture?

I don’t use any special storage apart from sealed container and cool basement, but I also use my grains within a year or two.
