Oh, the shame of it

Yesterday, we both wanted a turkey sandwich for lunch but there was no bread in the house. So my wife went to the grocery store for a loaf of 100% whole wheat bread. She came home with a loaf of Friehofers 100% whole wheat. It was as soft and had the texture of Wonder Bread. It was good and we both enjoyed it. The shame of it :yum:.

LoL that was my brand/bread before I started baking bread myself. Enjoy!

@KeithG2965 I felt that way when I baked a loaf of bread in my bread machine recently using yeast after over 2 years of only baking sourdough bread in my oven. And enjoying a baker’s dozen of Einstein’s bagels with a thick shmear of cream cheese…I definitely know the feeling. :yum:

@Fermentada The irony is now I find myself using both my bread machine for some loaves and Cyril for others! And what was REALLY hysterical was when I thought I was being SO good clearing out my bread stash in the freezer when I made the stuffing for Thanksgiving. Nope! I still had frozen bread left! :upside_down_face:
