Loaf weights?

I can’t seem to find a clear answer on what is meant when people refer to a “1 lb loaf” or a “1 kilo loaf.” Is this the weight of the dough before it’s baked, or the weight of the finished loaf (or something else)?

I agree this doesn’t seem to be standardized. I believe that if the weight is given in the specs for a loaf pan or for a proofing basket (definitely this is the case in the Breadtopia shop), we’re talking about dough weight. But I think stores/bakery indeed sometimes refer to baked-bread weight.
