For many years I didn’t score bread prior to baking simply because any knife/razor or whatever I used grabbed/pulls the dough and usually collapsed the dough.
Broke down and bought a new Lame from Breadtopia with great anticipation my troubled scoring days were over. Unfortunately “NO”
Brand new razor blade still grabs the dough
What am I doing wrong with the new Lame?

Gently stretch the top of the dough from the end you are starting to cut. It’s easier to cut if it’s taught.
Dip the blade in water as you are cutting.
Put the dough in the fridge before cutting as it’s easier to cut cold dough.
I tend to make a slash, rather than a cut, on wet doughs. The quicker the cut, the less it will grab.
