The sourdough addiction grows!

Since my first posting, and my first artisan loaf, I’ve gone delightfully wild, making sourdough waffles, pancakes, biscuits (which my husband is really fond of!). My starter is proving to be really resilient. In the last month I have only fed it a couple of times. About a third cup of all purpose flour each time. No water. This weekend was bread weekend again, so I simply stirred in the “hooch” added a quarter cup of flour, let it sit for most of the day, and then started my bread dough. This morning I found the dough fully risen with happy bubbles at the top, one of my favorite things about these recipes. Looking forward to enjoying it at dinner time!

like your attitude with the yeast. I’m the same way. Ive gone as far as just adding flour and water to some crusty junk from my side of my yeast jar and and built a starter
