What is pearled Spelt and can one grind it to use as the flour in a bread recipe?

My friend wants to know if it’s possible to make a pearl spelt bread.

I would imagine that the outer husk and bran layers have been removed, just like pearled barley. Can’t speak to it’s bread making use.

Thank you David. I suppose come what may using it like an addition to the bread flour cannot hurt. I was just wondering if something in the process makes it unsuitable for a 100% pearl spelt bread.
